Fundamentals of Project Management

This half (½) day seminar is designed for organizations as well as individuals seeking a basic understanding of project management. The primary objective of this seminar is to introduce and explain the fundamental (i.e. generally accepted) lexicon, knowledge areas, and process domains of project management. In addition, this seminar introduces and demonstrates some “best practices”, including project management tools/techniques, which are understood and applied by project management practitioners across all industries around the world. All information presented in this seminar is based upon the Project Management Institute’s (PMI®’s) Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK? Guide – 5th Edition), the globally recognized standard for project management. This seminar also demonstrates how some project management “best practices” are practically applied using commercially available software, including Microsoft Word?, Excel?, and Project?.
